The Bangladesh Bank (BB) has appointed its Executive Director Md Sarwar Hossain as a deputy governor on a three-year contractual term, according to a government notification issued yesterday.
The Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance said the appointment was made under Article 10(4) of the Bangladesh Bank Order, 1972.
<div>Sarwar will assume the post after voluntarily retiring from his current position as executive director. His post-retirement leave (PRL) has been suspended to facilitate the appointment.</div><div><br></div><div>He has been appointed for a three-year term from the date he joins as deputy governor, the notification said.</div>
<div>The remaining terms and conditions of his appointment will be determined through a contract.</div>
